Beautiful. Cannot think of any other words other than 'beautiful'.

An above average Harold Budd release this. As usual the melodies are slow and sparse and the creation of a 'mood' or 'ambiance' is good. Effects are kept to a minimum, which helps to allay the feeling the artist is trying to create "effect for effect's sake". The main effect is the use of 'wow' or subtle pitch shifting on a tonally dark yet closely mic'd piano. The last few tracks are exclusively string quartet pieces, and very good, again the acoustic is subtly manipulated to be veiled and distant at the same time. All in all, pretty sumptuous stuff for a "non collaboration".
