Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Pete Fountain Presents The Best Of Dixieland: Louis Armstrong - Louis Armstrong. A classic Dixieland set, it finds Hirt and Fountain in their early prime quite inspired by each other's ideas. With the assistance of a fine rhythm section and the underrated trombonist Bob Havens, Hirt and Fountain romp through such numbers as The Original Dixieland One-Step, Royal Garden Blues, Jazz Me Blues, and South Rampart Street Parade. Al Hirt: All Time Greatest Hits. Honey In the Horn, Our Man In New Orleans. The Best of Al Hirt. Super Jazz, Vol. Al Hirt At the Mardi Gras. 60 million songs. Three months on us. Alois Maxwell Al Hirt November 7, 1922 April 27, 1999 was an American trumpeter and bandleader. He is best remembered for his million-selling recordings of Java and the accompanying album Honey in the Horn 1963, and for the theme song to The Green Hornet. His nicknames included Jumbo and The Round Mound of Sound. Colin Escott, an author of musician biographies, wrote that RCA Victor Records, for which Hirt had recorded most of his best-selling recordings and for which he had spent much of his professional recording career, had du read more. Back in 1956 they recorded a classic set for MGM, The Best Of Al Hirt and Pete Fountain, that in 1970 became the first jazz album that I ever owned. It lived up to its title, with Hirt and Fountain heard at the peak of their powers in a sextet that also includes trombonist Bob Havens. In 2001 the album, with two extra cuts that do not really fit in Night And Day and Im Going Home, was reissued as the oddly-titled CD Pete Fountain Presents The Best Of Dixieland: Al Hirt. No matter, the great moments are all here. Highlights include colorful versions of Original Dixieland One-Step, Pana. Al Hirt used to play at a club on Bourbon Street in New Orleans' French Quarter district, which I have only read about. If you're looking for French Quarter, dixie-style jazz music, this CD is perfect. The music is well played swinging Dixieland music, played by the best. Al Hirt on trumpet, Pete Fountain on clarinet and also tenor sax, and Bob Havens on trombone. The remastering is excellent. A highlight are the two rare tenor sax solos by Fountain on Wolverine Blues and Washington & Lee Swing. Pete Fountain and Al Hirt encore finale at Wolf Trap 1979 - Продолжительность: 12:03 Jim.
